Dr. Nabil Fakih Gomez, born in Spain, lived his childhood between Spain & Lebanon. Since he was a child he always had a close relationship with art and beauty. For him drawing beautiful things has been a way of expressing himself, but he has always had a predilection for facial portrait. The beauty expressed in the faces of people was his passion. This started from school years, where he has presented three times to a national drawing competition, being finalist in all of them. After graduating from the School of Medicine in the University of Navarra (Spain) with highest honors acquiring his Medical Degree in Medicine. Then Dr. Nabil Fakih completed a prestigious five-year residency program in Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery including formation program in General Surgery & Plastic Surgery. During his residency he has been voted by his specialty colleagues to represent 4 consecutive years the Andalusian Association of Maxillofacial in Spain, leading the Facial Plastic Surgery and Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery Webinars in Spain. Although several surgical specialties can shape the face in an aesthetic sense, only the Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery achieve amazing results. Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery achieves, besides acting on the skin, fat and muscle, to act on the skeleton, which is the basis for a face having a profile, contour and unique characteristics. Art surgery expressed as artistic abilities requires therefore, surgical skills and great scientific knowledge. If a surgeon may not translate well in a drawing what he wants to get, he will hardly achieve an aesthetic result. Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery
Build the ”foundation” first. An attractive, youthful face has an appropriate foundation (Bone and Cartilage). This is accomplished, when necessary, with surgery of the bones of the face (Orthognatic Surgery), facial implants (cheeks or chin), nose, or ear surgery. In many cases the aesthetic problem of the face is in the bone and not in the Skin.
Aesthetic Facial Plastic Surgery
Next the ”siding” is addressed. If the foundation is adequate, then the ”siding”can be placed in the appropriate position. The ”siding” of the face and neck is the tissue beneath the skin, even though it might appear to be a skin problem. This tissue is surgically relocated with either a browlift, facelift or necklift, or all three procedures simultaneously. Appropriate upper and lower eyelid surgery is also ”siding” surgery.

Last, the ”paint” is removed and reapplied. Treatment of the skin is very important in the treatment plan to produce an attractive, youthful face. Often this is the only treatment we perform for patients. Treatment of the skin is dictated by the amount of sun damage, discoloration, and wrinkles. The amount of skin damage determines whether we recommend a mild skin program, an aggressive skin program, chemical peels or laser skin resurfacing.
